Friends of Nenagh Hospital (“we”, “us”) is a registered Irish charity (RCN 20076735 · CHY 16300). We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who contacts us or visits our website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
What information we collect
When you fill in our contact form, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, an optional phone number, the subject of your enquiry, and your message. We do not ask for any special-category or financial information through this website.
Donations made through our website are processed by our payment provider on their own secure platform. We do not see or store your card details.
How we use your information
We use the information you send us solely to respond to your enquiry and to correspond with you about it. We do not use it for marketing, and we never sell or rent your details to anyone.
Our legal basis
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, our legal basis for handling your contact details is your consent in submitting the form, together with our legitimate interest in responding to the people who get in touch with us.
Who we share it with
Our website is hosted by Vercel, and contact-form messages are delivered to us by email through our email provider, Resend. These providers process the information only to deliver the service and are bound by their own data-protection obligations. We do not share your information with any other organisation.
How long we keep it
We keep your correspondence only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, after which it is deleted. If your message leads to an ongoing relationship — for example, as a volunteer or supporter — we will keep relevant details for as long as that relationship continues.
Cookies
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies set are strictly necessary for the site to function.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email us at info@friendsofnenaghhospital.ie.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, the Irish supervisory authority (dataprotection.ie).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
